News
July 26th, 2010/Cannon Beach, Oregon
As we catch a little R&R on legendary Cannon Beach in Oregon we thought we’d hit you with some Circleslide news.
It’s been a long time coming, but a new Circleslide Album is on the way. It will be our 2nd full length album. It will be released on October 5th. It will have 12 songs. It will be full of win.
And it will be called “Echoes Of The Light”. We can’t even begin to tell you how excited we are about the material we recorded. Brandon Bee, who produced, really dug in and, we feel, got us to put our heart and soul onto these tracks.
There are so many details to talk about…like how and why we came up with that title. We’ll be doing that in the upcoming weeks leading up to the album’s release. You’ll start hearing about it from other sources besides this website.
Meanwhile, we keep touring, we just got done with a great weekend in Oregon, playing at a Luis Palau Event in Albany, as well as for a great church in Seaside…North Coast Family Fellowship. Great people there.
Lee just blogged about it, you should definitely check that out.
thanks for reading, stay tuned. -gabe
June 28th, 2010/Leakey, Texas
After a flood hit and devastated our home, our gear, and our trailer…and after the birth of a wonderful little boy named Liam…and after a couple of surgeries (gabe’s gallbladder, and libby’s appendix)…we are all back on the road! It feels great to be a band again, performing, laughing, eating! But what many of you may not know is that we have been busy putting together the next chapter in Circleslide Music.
We are all really excited about the music we’ve been recording. Brandon Bee has been producing the project…we recorded much of it up in Seattle, Washington. We cannot wait for you to hear it.
More news will be coming soon…like album title, track listing…release date.
Keep checking here for more details and for behind the scenes type goodies about this new collection of songs.
peace,

October 16th, 2009/Nashville, TN
“Eye Spy Circleslide” for Twitter.
As we head back out on the road, we thought we’d make things interesting for our Twitter followers. (Facebook peeps, this goes for you, too). If you read a ‘tweet’ and it says, ‘hanging out at coffee house or music store or arboretum in portland, or memphis, or l.a…or wherever…” we may say something like ‘whoever is the first to come say ‘hi’ to us will get autographed Circleslide vinyl LP…or a Circleslide Ipod shuffle…or Lee’s Hat…or something like that. See? doesn’t that sound fun?
It doesn’t count if you see us at the venue. I can’t stress this part enough. Seeing our amazing show should be reward enough, right? right?
but if we tweet that we’re filling up at a gas station in lincoln, nebraska…and you meet us there in the time allowed…you’ll get something cool…and you get the pleasure of finding out what we smell like after 16 hours in the van.
So if you’re not following us on twitter, yet…you should probably get on that.
peace,
gabe

July 8, 2009/Circleslide on the Road, In Prison, and 10,000 in attendance…
Lately, Circleslide has been on a tear…racking up the miles and working up a sweat on the road. After performing at the Ichthus Festival in Kentucky we spent a week with campers in Oklahoma–performed for the die hard fans out in Fayetteville, Arkansas–and performed around Southwest Michigan.
We’ll never forget performing in Coldwater Prison for 1,300 inmates…we felt like Johnny Cash in there, giving hope to some lifers…and talking to the guards about forgiveness, grace, and neil young.
We’ll never forget the kids at Wedgwood Christian Center. we played, they danced…we had a Q&A session and they made us laugh…while the volunteers and pastors there told us how special it was for them to see kids being kids…wonderful memories.
And I doubt we’ll forget sharing the stage with Sevenglory on the 4th of July in Portage, Michigan. 10,000 people in attendance…Mayor Peter Strazdas kept his word and had us back to headline…even brought us water on stage…very cool…we appreciated all the churches who worked hard to bring us back…and the fireworks were quite lovely and loud.
right now, we’re in North Dakota…spending a week with the Crystal Springs Campers…then it’s back to Nashville as we continue to write and record for a new album coming soon.
you can listen to some new songs on our music page…keep up with us on our tour page…leave us comments…and read our blog here. thanks for visiting…more updates on the way.
